This weekend Grandpa and Grandma Shulund (Dirk's parents) came down for a quick trip to deliver some goods and spend quality time with Sloan. While quick, it was a good visit. It was obvious that Sloan was the focus and entertainment. At eight weeks old, she impressed them with her big smiles, cooing, and ability to hold her head up and survey the surroundings for short periods of time. Both Grandpa and Grandma were more than willing to hold, feed and cuddle their 1st grandchild. They didn't even mind a little spit up in return.
After the Old Shulund's departed on their way back to the ranch, we headed over to Grandma McDonald's (Lisa's mom) to help with a little holiday baking, i.e cookies, cookies, and more cookies. There was plenty of sampling during the whole process. One could call this the kick-off to two weeks of pure glutony, no diets here!
We are looking forward to a fun-filled Holiday Season with opportunities to get together with family and friends that will be traveling back to Billings. Definitely a joyous time of year! I wonder what Santa will bring Sloan for her 1st Christmas...?

First Time Bloggers
We've decided to follow our friends and start a blog to share with family and friends to keep everyone updated with our latest news, photos, and stories. It will probably take some time for us to get the page layout developed and photos added, etc., but given the prediction of cold weather for the near future, this is probably what we'll be working on.
